  13. was a moving starfield.

  21. He had the vision.
  22. He had the tools to implement it.
  23. And he had some time to kill.

  27. He wanted it to be overscan
  28. just like T.V.,
  29. and he wanted it double-buffered
  30. so it would scroll smoothly,
  31. and he wanted it to be in yellow
  32. because he likes yellow
  33.

  36. So he worked on it for a while
  37. and decided to call it "Startle"
  38. which is "Star Title" sideways.

  45. He also wanted it to take any text file
  46. so you could just type:

  50. and it would rip.
